GENOA – New turtle hatching in Liguria, on the beach of Arma di Taggia, in the province of Imperia.During the night, another eight specimens of Caretta caretta were born and made their first entry into the sea, under the observation of the biologists and volunteers of "Delfini di Ponente", an association that belongs to the Ligurian turtle group.The new born join the over sixty of the first emergence which took place in recent days also in Arma di Taggia.

Citizens were able to participate in the event both in person and via the live streaming webcam specially installed by the Quarto Quadrante Association, which exceeded 26,000 connections in the first week of activation.In the next few days, monitoring by biologists and volunteers will continue not only in Arma di Taggia, but also in the other three nests in Alassio, Finale Ligure and Pietra Ligure, in the Savona area.
