Banner at the entrance to the media center:'G7 Partying, 8 Billion Burning'

BARI – Protest by environmental activists from the Extinction Rebellion organization in front of the media center of the G7 summit in Bari.Some of them climbed onto scaffolding in front of the entrance and lowered a banner with the writing 'G7 Partying, 8 Billion Burning'.The slogan's reference is to climate change and global warming.The protest lasted a few hours. Some activists chained themselves to the entrance barriers of the media center, guarded by the police. Several protesters also wore red shark and penguin costumes:two of the marine species which, according to Extinction Rebellion, are at risk of extinction.
