The fire, set in the early hours of the afternoon of July 7th three years ago– in a day of strong south-westerly winds and with temperatures between 38 and 39 degrees– had affected an area of ​​approximately 130 hectares.As the fire progresses it had threatened roads, buildings and farms, devastating woods and pastures and putting public safety at risk.Only the following day was it possible to make the area affected by the flames safe, thanks to the use of over 120 men of the regional fire-fighting apparatus, and with the help of 5 helicopters and 3 Canadair.
