Waterspouts in Livorno:it is a social phenomenon

ROME - More columns of air, imposing and even frightening, appeared along the horizon, off the coast of Livorno, surprising those who were on the shore or the residents of the buildings on the "front line" on the coast.Last Sunday, June 2, in fact, in the afternoon at least three waterspouts would have formed offshore between the lighthouse of Go And Quercianella in the Tuscan city.

The phenomenon remained visible for a few minutes even from the ground, and then disappear in the clouds, leaving time to be immortalized by the numerous spectators who managed to photograph and film it via smartphone, and then "post" it on social media.

Despite their frightening appearance, the waterspouts that appeared in Livorno remained offshore, without reaching the mainland, without causing damage or posing a danger to people.
