Get some empty wine bottles. For this project you will only need 2 or 3.

Remove labels from glass.

Wash the bottles carefully, both inside and outside.

With a clearly visible marker, mark the precise point of the bottle where you intend to insert the LED lights.

Prepare a bucket full of water. You will need this while you are creating the hole on the bottle with the drill.

Get a drill. For this project you will need to use a diamond cup cutter specifically for glass.

Get a piece of soft clay to shape as a lining where you need to drill the hole. While you are drilling the glass with the drill, run a little water over the cutter.

Drill the hole with extreme caution.

When finished, use 150 grit sandpaper to smooth the sharp edges of the hole.

Wash the bottle again to remove any dirt and glass residue.

Buy LED Christmas lights made up of 100 light elements.

Insert the lights inside the bottle.

This step is optional. Fit a gasket to the bottle hole.

Lock the electrical cord for the lights in place.

Plug the plug into the socket and enjoy your great work!
