Closing a balloon can be more difficult than it seems. Here are two simple ways to do it.
-
Inflate a balloon, leaving enough room at the end to close it. Pinch the base of the balloon with the thumb, index and middle fingers of your weak hand (usually the one you don't write with).
-
Stretch it several times to make sure you can wrap it around the first two fingers of the hand you are holding it with, leaving some space at the end.
- If the end isn't long enough to wrap around your fingers, use your other hand to push the air out of the balloon. If the balloon is inflated to its maximum capacity, gently release a small amount of air.
-
Extend the end and wrap it around the first two fingers of your hand.
-
Insert the end of the balloon between the tips of your two fingers from the inside out.
-
With your other hand, remove the balloon knot from your fingers and secure it to the base of the balloon.Advertising

-
Pull the wrapped end of the balloon away from your fingers. This will create a small opening.Pass the free end of the balloon through the opening.
-
Pass the free end through the other side of the opening, quickly removing your fingers from the balloon.Advertising
