Electric cars, the map with all the charging stations in Italy is online from today

The Mase portal is born, in collaboration with GSE and RSE.From now on it will be easier to plan trips, even on the motorway

ROME – From today, over 32,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles throughout Italy - out of the 42,500 existing today, which will be completed in the coming months - will be mapped and brought together on a single web platform, which will allow citizens to consult the location of the stations, together with the prices, the type of power supply and the maximum power that can be delivered, and plan your car journey by organizing stops and recharges in advance, even on the motorway.By the end of the year, an app will also come into operation that will inform in real time whether the charging point is busy, free or out of service.It's been online since this morning the Pun portal, the single national platform created by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security in collaboration with GSE-Energy Services Manager and RSE-Research on the energy system, which will be available to everyone at www.piattaformaunicanazionale.it and on the Mase and Gse websites.The platform was presented this morning by the minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin together with the president of GSE, Paolo Arrigoni and the CEO of RSE, Franco Cotana.
“This map will be online this afternoon, a very important tool that allows you to locate charging infrastructures in the country with details such as maximum power, operators providing the service, operation of the charging point and, by the end of the year, also real-time availability", said Arrigoni.

For the president of the GSE it is "a fundamental tool also for the benefit of Municipalities, Provinces and Regions for the urban planning of the territories".And it is only "a starting point, because the various infrastructure managers who have collaborated with GSE and RSE will have four months, from today until next July 26, to contribute to providing data on more and more columns, and the PUN will always be enriched more". Finally, in December, “real-time interoperability with the CPOs will be completed (charging point operator, ed.) and the launch of the app. There will also be a communication campaign in the name of sustainability, with a video shot with zero emissions."“For the first time we will have a tool that offers citizens an application to geolocate all electric charging points, including those on motorways,” commented Cotana.The CPOs, he explained, “today in Italy there are more than 50, think what it could mean for a citizen to navigate all the various operators.Now we will have all the information in real time, with RSE which will be involved in drafting an annual report on the evolution of this important tool".

The Pun, underlined Pichetto, “It is an added value for the spread of electric mobility in Italy: in fact, it allows many homogeneous data and information on the distribution of charging points to converge towards a single institutional portal, which is valuable both for operators and for local authorities and citizens".According to the minister, "the evolution of this platform, which will be enriched with new functions in the coming months, will make it increasingly useful for the daily lives of citizens and for administrative planning".
