The statue of Vittoria Emanuele II was covered in yellow, non-washable paint last March 9th by activists

After the blitz of Last Generation on March 9th, the cleaning and restoration work began on the statue dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II in Piazza Duomo in Milan. The cleaning intervention will be carried out by Vox Media srl, a company that deals with sponsored restorations, after the technicians of the Municipality and the Superintendence ascertained that it was impossible to proceed with an ordinary cleaning, because the yellow paint used by activists during the blitz was not washable.Immediately after the blitz, in fact, the technicians of the Municipality and the Superintendence attempted to carry out a water cleaning operation, which however was not successful, as the yellow paint used by the activists was not washable. The cost of the works is around 28,950 euros and will be offered by the restoration company itself. The cleaning work on the work will be completed at the end of August.
