London, Just Stop Oil activists interrupt Pride against polluting sponsors:7 arrests – The video

In one of the now classic road blocks, climate activists prevented the procession from continuing by sitting in front of the Coca Cola float

Seven climate activists from Just Stop Oil were arrested today - Saturday, July 1st - at Pride in London for interrupting the parade with one of the now classic non-violent roadblocks.Specifically, the blockade occurred in Piccadilly Circus, in the middle of the procession, in front of the Coca Cola float.The reason is the same for which environmentalists had asked the organizers of the event to review the sponsors policy:given that a considerable number of these are companies linked to the consumption of fossil fuels and other practices that exacerbate climate change.“If London Pride fails to take simple measures to protect our community, we must consider possible actions that could disrupt Pride,” declared the activists, all from the rainbow community, whose protest lasted a total of 16 minutes before being interrupted by the police.
