«Total is a criminal enterprise».The co-president of the European United Left parliamentary group in the European Chamber, Manon Aubry, does not mince her words towards Total.The French oil company held its shareholders' meeting today in its offices in the French capital.Aubry was present on the street together with dozens of other protesters who expressed their dissent over the profits that Total continues to accumulate at the expense of climate stability.«A real climate and social bomb», defined the company by the MEP who at a certain point found himself face to face with some of the company's shareholders.These defined the climate activists as "shit" and "parasites", while Aubry pointed out to them that the same person they were insulting is among those that Total tries to convince of the goodness of its business with lobbying within the European Parliament.In one of her tweets, Aubry then expressed her request:«For Total as for others, it is time to put an end to the total impunity of multinationals that destroy the planet, violate human rights, exploit workers and pay almost zero taxes».
