ROME – 'We are the environment'.This is the title of the new book by Marco Fioravanti, mayor of Ascoli Piceno, presented in Rome at Palazzo Ferrajoli.Over 200 people were present.“The volume illustrates a new ecological-cultural vision, a real 'revolution' that starts from all of us” explained Fioravanti, already author of the volume 'Create, believe, change'.
“Information, study, commitment and creativity - he added - are the extra gears to achieve a real change, which overcomes both the skepticism of those who refuse to see what is happening to the Earth and the catastrophism of those who attribute to it a destiny already marked. This book allows us to give voice to citizens, businesses, companies and all those who, in silence and with small gestures, day after day are committed to implementing a true ecological transition. The volume is a manifesto of environmental transformation, which puts socio-economic development at the centre and the growth of human capital through a new governance model in which the real protagonists are the territories, the mayors and all citizens. So let's turn on our brains:it's time to act in the present, to take back our future."
To moderate the meeting, in dialogue with the author, it was the journalist, columnist Angelica Bianco.Present among the institutional guests was the undersecretary of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security Claudio Barbaro.Among the personalities who have always supported the environmental issue are Raimondo Grassi (Tea Energia), pioneer of agrivoltaics and photovoltaics in Italy.
“Let's roll up our sleeves and act to improve our future” concluded Fioravanti. The presentation then ended with a toast made of bubbles from the Fantini winery.
