ROME – A mountain landscape, with some people holding hands, in harmony with nature, but also a hydroelectric plant And a wind one, to highlight the potential of the High Lands.On the 70th anniversary of the foundation of Uncem, the National Union of Municipalities, Communities and Mountain Bodies has its own commemorative stamp:was presented today in Rome.On 20 November 1952, the administrators of 241 municipalities and 26 provinces of the Italian mountains, gathered in Rome after a first preparatory meeting held in Florence in October, founded the Uncem.
The issue of the stamp closes the "seventieth" year, which "was not a birthday, but a strong and beautiful occasion lasting 365 days for think about the future of territories and autonomies” says Giovanni Barocco, national councilor of Uncem and former regional councilor of the Aosta Valley.Barocco concludes:“This stamp is a sign of attention from the Italian Post Office for the mountains of the country”.
