ROME – It will not be possible to grow meat in Italy.The ban is established by the bill approved today in the Chamber of Deputies, and already voted by the Senate, 'Provisions regarding the ban on the production and placing on the market of food and feed consisting of, isolated or produced from cell cultures or tissues derived from vertebrate animals as well as a ban on the denomination of meat for processed products containing vegetable proteins. The votes in favor were 159, against 53 and 34 abstentions.

LOLLOBRIGIDA MEETS PRANDINI DESPITE THE AGGRESSION OF DELLA VEDOVA

Lollobrigida chose to meet Prandini despite the controversy arising from the latter's attack on the +Europa member of Vedova.“I won't go into detail because I didn't witness the event, but I have no problem condemning any type of violence - said Lollobrigida - but I won't give up meeting the workers' representatives”.

“We have filed a complaint against the president of Coldiretti Prandini at the Montecitorio police station for the attack suffered in Piazza Colonna during the +Europa demonstration against the bill banning cultured meat”, announce Benedetto Della Vedova and Riccardo Magi, who explain:“We did it not for a personal matter but because, if violence against parliamentarians is approved, especially against the opposition, even better against a component of only two opposition parliamentarians, a precedent is created which will then be difficult go back. The government already enjoys a very large majority and effectively occupies all the main media.If the response to minority politics is intimidation, then we really need to worry about the health of our democracy", conclude Della Vedova and Magi.
