BOLOGNA – Double blitz by environmentalists of Latest Generation today in Bologna:one on the street, the other in the Emilia-Romagna Region.10 of them blocked traffic on the Bologna ring road, between junction 12 SS 65 Della Futa and junction 7 bis SS 64 Ferrara in the direction of the connection with the A1. Two of them, who had fixed their hands to the asphalt with quick-setting cement, were taken to the Maggiore Hospital under code 1, after being removed from the asphalt with the intervention of the firefighters and 118 health workers.The other eight protesters were instead accompanied to the police station.The traffic police are still present on site, but in the meantime traffic has resumed, after the environmentalist blitz had caused a five kilometer queue.

LATEST GENERATION ACTIVISTS ALSO ENTERING THE REGION

While a dozen Ultima Generation activists blocked the ring road of Bologna, three other activists of the movement launched a raid on the headquarters of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Around 8.33am, Ultima Generation reports, the three entered Viale Aldo Moro in Bologna, "they attracted attention with alarms and poured confetti on the floor, displaying banners with the words 'Repair Fund'".Subsequently, the activists "positioned themselves in front of the infopoint, declaring their opposition to the inaction of politics towards the climate crisis and asking the regional representatives to receive them and listen to them". The regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement Silvia Piccinini spoke to the three, who "stopped and spoke at length with them".At 8.55am, the police arrived on site.
