BOLOGNA – Wanted Cinema announces its arrival in cinemas from October 19th, with the patronage of the Italian Alpine Club, by 'At walking pace' (Sur les chemins noirs), premiered at the 71st edition of the Trento Film Festival as the opening film of the event.Based on the best-selling autobiographical book of the same name by French writer-explorer Sylvain Tesson, 'At Man's Pace' is directed by Denis Imbert (Vicky, Mystère) and upon its theatrical release in France in March it received critical acclaim and grossed dizzying numbers at the box office across the Alps.In the cast, together with Jean Dujardin, we find Izia Higelin, Josephine Japy and Jonathan Zaccai.

Undisputed protagonist of this journey through France –a 1,300 kilometer walk that goes from Mercantour to Cotentin, but also an inner journey to regain possession of a body reduced to pieces and heal painful wounds– is Jean Dujardin (Oscar winner for 'The Artist'), who here plays the role of Pierre, a famous writer with a penchant for extreme experiences and solo travel. One evening, drunk, he climbs the facade of a building and falls several floors. The accident leaves him in a deep coma. When he emerges, Pierre can barely stand. Against everyone's advice, he decides to hike alone across France, from Provence to Mont Saint Michel, along forgotten paths through some of the most rugged, inhospitable and beautiful regions of France. Based on real events, this escape from the fast-paced world is a story of fortitude, healing, resilience and reconnection to nature and the deep self.

The hero has a wild side - comments the director - like a wolf who observes the lives of men, keeping himself at a distance. In the same way, from the direction I tried to see him come out of a bush, cross the road and take off again into a grove like an animal. The black paths are traces left, which do not exist on the maps. They are paths traveled by wild animals. I liked this idea of crossing.France has this perspective, these incredible lines of flight“.

Everyone the members of the Italian Alpine Club they will be able to access the screening with a ticket at a special price (depending on the rates foreseen by each individual room).Just show your CAI card at the cash register to be entitled to the discount.
