The center of Rome is ready to transform into a large exhibition dedicated to sustainability in all its many declinations.Piazza Mignanelli, Largo dei Lombardi in Via del Corso, the route from Viale delle Magnolie to Villa Borghese, Ponte Milvio:some of the most beautiful corners of the capital will host the third edition of Rom-E.The appointment with the sustainability festival is set on 7 and 8 October, with a rich program of events designed to raise public awareness on crucial issues for the protection of our planet.
There are many protagonists, from companies to international entities
Inside the festival in the city center, many companies that have made the environmental responsibility their primary objective will have the opportunity to present their initiatives and solutions to address current challenges, starting from new mobility with display of electric vehicles and test drive.The program is also very rich on the front of entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The Psycodrummers will perform live with their percussion on instruments obtained with waste materials, while an installation of bicycles will allow the transformation of the kinetic energy generated by pedaling into electrical energy.Gemar Balloons, the largest manufacturer of balloons made of latex natural rubber in Europe, has created installations with 100 percent bio-based balloons exclusively for Rom-E, while the IoGiocOvunque activities will make the smallest of traveling wooden games handcrafted with natural materials.
Sustainability in all its possible declinations
The event will start on October 6th at 9.15am with conference “Rom-E Talk:a path towards sustainability", at the Casa del Cinema inside Villa Borghese (here the link of registration, here instead the link to follow the live broadcast);we will talk about companies' investments in sustainability, of sustainable development, the energy of tomorrow, mobility and the link between young people and sport with the environment and sustainability.LifeGate will be present with Roberto Sposini, journalist, chief mobility editor LifeGate, in the panel "The mobility transition" and in the one dedicated to "Safeguarding the environment".Rom-E is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and by Rome, the capital.It is supported by the Agriculture, Environment and Waste Cycle Department which will provide all the greenery foreseen in the setting up of the event, by the Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion and by the Mobility Department;the event is also sponsored by La Sapienza University and Earth Day, which will moderate the "Youth and environment" panel in the opening talk.
