The 500 ml ones are the best, because they are less bulky than the 2 liter ones;However, any empty bottle of water or soft drink is fine.
You can buy it at the hardware store, get a 5.6 mm one;check that it is about 2-3 cm long, with one thinner end and the other with a larger diameter.Also make sure that the hole on the thinnest part is quite small, otherwise the material you want to smoke could fall through.
For this project you will need a lighter, a pen that you can take apart, some silver tape, and a needle or utility knife, but these two are optional.

Remove all the pieces until only the empty tube remains.This becomes the stem to attach to the brazier;in theory, it should be of sufficient diameter to fit inside the thinner end of the socket.
Fit one into the other and secure them with silver adhesive tape;apply a couple of layers to ensure a stable connection.

Insert the stem and bowl. Slide the end of the pen without the socket into the hole near the base of the bottle;tilt it downwards and towards the opposite side of the container, so that the brazier can contain the material without dropping it.Use several layers of tape to secure the pen to the bottle and create a watertight seal.Fill the bottle with a few inches of water and the pipe is finished.^{[3]
