ROME – Young budding journalists, strong in their curiosity, specialized in environmental issues and more precisely climate change, energy saving, pollution from fossil fuels and renewable alternatives:here is the goal of 'At school with energy!', the educational project for the new generations, born from an idea by Legambiente, in collaboration with Renantis.

In fact, primary school students are the most attentive to the environment and nature, those who most easily learn the information necessary for a less impactful and fairer lifestyle and who involve the rest of the family in new eco-sustainable habits. .And precisely to answer the numerous questions of young people about climate change and the risks for the future, a new one is launched educational campaign in which pupils in the fourth and fifth classes of some primary schools in Friuli Venezia Giulia are invited to take part (in the municipalities of Terzo di Aquileia, Cervignano del Friuli and Manzano in the province of Udine), in Puglia (in Galatone in the province of Lecce and Ginosa in the province of Taranto) and in Sicily (Vittoria in the province of Ragusa and Ramacca in the province of Catania).

Four meetings for a true team game where the class will transform into a journalistic editorial office:with the editorial meeting the topics to be covered will be established and the groups of "correspondents" who will have to look for the news and write the articles, create the images, propose interviews with the experts. At the end of the course, each class will produce a paper - a story, an article, a narrative and image reportage (drawings/photographs/videos) - which will be presented on the occasion of the Energy Festival, an end-of-project meeting open to families and to the other classes of the institute.

“The ecological transition and the road towards decarbonisation pass through the development of renewable energy sources, and Legambiente wants to pass this message through to our young people who will be the protagonists of the future of our country - declares Giorgio Zampetti, general director of Legambiente– This is why with the At school with energy! campaignwe aim to raise students' awareness on the topic of the climate crisis and on the reduction of emissions by also promoting concrete actions to be adopted at school and in homes through a didactic-educational, playful and participatory activity, with a specific focus on the main sources of renewable energy, in in particular photovoltaic, agrivoltaic and wind technologies, illustrating the benefits that derive from them for the community and the environment".

“The involvement of the communities in which we are present with our renewable plants and our development activities has always been at the center of our sustainable approach. We want to create value and release this value on the territory.Schools and young people play a role of primary importance for the energy transition and the future of renewables. The 'At school with energy!' project, on which we have decided to focus with conviction, will allow children to approach, in a fun and educational way, some of the most important environmental issues of our time.Children and their families are an active part of the change.Through the growth of awareness on the issues of sustainability and preservation of the natural environment we will be able to truly advance in the creation of value for the territory", declares Fabrizio Tortora, greenfield development manager at Renantis.
