Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022 returns from January 14th

In collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Ice – Agency, the Fashion Film Festival Milan 2022 will be staged from 14 to 18 January on the digital platform of National Chamber of Italian Fashion, on the official website of Fashion Film Festival Milan and on the well-known video streaming platform MyMovies.it.

“This year Fashion Film Festival Milano will make fashion speak with a different language”, stated the founder and creative director of the event, Constanza Etro Cavalli.“Not just a celebration of the fashion houses, but a reflection of society.We will talk about a fashion system that addresses major social issues.Which is no longer closed and elitist, but listens to areas such as gender equality, environment and inclusion, of which it acts as an interpreter."

The event will develop around the traditional format which includes the screening of competing films and feature films, as well as a packed program of talks and non-competition content such as #FFFMilanoForGreen And #FFFMilanoForWomen.All in a hybrid version, between online streaming and some in-person events aimed at sharing creativity with the public.Among these, the two exhibitions in the Urban center space of the Municipality of Milan at the Triennale Milano and at the MIAC - the Cinecittà Audiovisual and Cinema Museum in Rome, where the nominees and winners of 2022 will be broadcast simultaneously.

The films in competition

The official selection of this eighth edition will be available on the platform National Chamber of Italian Fashion and will include 260 fashion films chosen from over thousands of candidates from 60 countries.There will be no shortage of works by big names in fashion and cinema, but a lot of space will be given above all to debut filmmakers and to projects that aim to exalt young Made in Italy designers recommended by the Camera moda fashion trust.

Like every year, the jury of experts, made up of prominent figures from the world of fashion, cinema and art, will be called to decide the winners of the fifteen competing categories who will be awarded during the event Digital awards FFMilan.In line with the democratic and inclusive spirit of Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022, the best fashion films will also be voted by the public who will be able to express their opinion by decreeing the winner of the category People's choice award directly on the event website at the same time as the viewing.

Like every year now, Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022 will also host four feature film previews, various conversations and two special projects that have now become cornerstones of the out-of-competition category:#FFFMilanoForGreen, dedicated to the promotion of sustainable fashion, and #FFFMilanoForWomen in support of social projects, female directors, designers, entrepreneurs and activists.
