Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022, the eighth edition begins

In collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE – Agency, the founder and director Constanza Cavalli Etro has thought of a safe format.For the second consecutive year, Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022 will be held mainly online with only two in-person events.

The premiere of the feature film dedicated to the fashion genius “Elio Fiorucci – free spirit”, by directors Andrea Servi and Swan Bergman, will be held at the Triennale Milano exclusively by invitation, while the documentary will also be broadcast online as part of the calendar of screenings planned by the festival.Open to the public, however, will be two exhibitions which will take place simultaneously at the Urban Center space of the Municipality of Milan at Milan Triennial and inside the Miac – Cinecittà Audiovisual and Cinema Museum in Rome.In both locations, the public will be able to attend the FFF Milano Digital awards 2022 and discover the 15 winners of the films competing this year.

Over 260 fashion films scheduled

It will be possible to view the works of big names in cinema and beyond who will tell both the stories of famous brands and emerging and experimental talents in cinematic language.The films nominated within the 15 categories competing at the Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022 are the result of a selection process carried out by the organization which chose from thousands of candidates from over 60 countries.

Announcing the winners during the digital event FFF Milan Digital Awards 2022 will be an international jury of experts from the world of art, cinema and fashion.Among these, Piero Piazzi, president of the Women Management modeling agency, who expressed particular recognition for the film “Benjamin Benmoyal SS 2022” by Raquel San Nicolás, also selected as the winner of the LifeGate green award:“I loved this film very much for its purity and for the introduction of all the elements that I love:the sea, nature, sand, sunrise and sunset.Using an ethnic girl was also a perfect choice for this context.The photography is wonderful and the music is spot on.Very poetic."

They also praised the film “Benjamin Benmoyal SS 2022”. Feature films and the out-of-competition section

Not just short films competing at the Fashion Film Festival Milano 2022.Like every year, the event will host many out-of-competition contents, such as the broadcast of four feature films on the video streaming platform mymovies.it, which fall within the projects #FFFMilanoForGreen And #FFFMilanoForWomen.

The Festival presents in Italian preview:“A folk horror tale” by director Olivier Dahan which represents the creative universe of the visionary stylist John Galliano;“Now” by director Jim Rakete which tells the story of many activists against climate change in a battle to give a future to the new generations;“Step into paradise” by Amanda Blue which features the story of friendship and collaboration between Australian fashion icons Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson;and finally, “Elio Fiorucci – free spirit” by directors Andrea Servi and Swan Bergman which shows, through the stories of the designer and those of some of his great friends, the magical atmosphere of the end of the 1960s when the phenomenon of “Swinging London” exploded in England.
