A more sustainable future in which waste becomes a new resource a reduced environmental impact. This is what the Lenzing Group and Orange Fiber are looking at in the production of this innovative cellulosic fibre, which turns out to be a precious resource for the textile and fashion industry.A future oriented towardscircular economy, the natural response to the requests of customers who are increasingly attentive to issues related to sustainability and those brands who want to take part in the green revolution of a particularly polluting sector.
“Thanks to this pioneering production collaboration, we will be able to contribute to sustainable revolution of the sector, making an innovative and high-quality product available to all those brands that are looking for transparent, responsible and ecological supply chains", explains Enrica Arena, CEO of Orange Fiber.“With end customers increasingly attentive to the environmental impact of their purchases, sustainability becomes an imperative for the fashion industry, which must evolve in parallel and innovate, starting from the use of sustainable materials, to remain efficient, competitive and contribute to safeguarding our planet and future generations".
Meanwhile, Orange Fiber has already started working to make the fruits of this collaboration available to its customers:next October 2021 one will be presented on the market new collection of fabrics.
The words of Gert Kroner by Lenzing
“The introduction of Tencel™ Limited Edition consolidates our leadership in sustainable production processes – says Gert Kroner, global vice president of research and development at the Lenzing Group – and we are proud to collaborate with Orange Fiber to produce this new series of special and new fibres.By opening up to the use of by-products from other supply chains for the creation of our fibres, such as in this case by-products from the citrus industry, we want to take concrete steps towards a more sustainable future in which the environmental impact of every waste can be reduced“.
A fruitful collaboration between Lenzing and Orange Fiber, who managed to create a system in the direction of one eco-conscious transition. Not only that:the exchange of resources and skills has allowed them to position themselves as a point of reference in the textile panorama.
