Peekaboo!, a line of personalized and sustainable jewelery based onupcycling, was born in 2014 from the passion and creative predisposition of the artisan Silvia Lanfranco.

From a niche trend, widespread among small brands and emerging designers, upcycling reached its peak of diffusion among Italian and international fashion houses during the 2020 lockdown, as a possible at least partial solution to the overproduction.It is a process that involves the creation of a “new” and valuable product starting from waste materials or from finished products considered obsolete.The growing sensitivity and attention of consumers to a sustainable approach on the part of brands has certainly represented the trigger for a greater diffusion of this particular trend.

Peekaboo jewels!are born from waste materials such as tabs and i bottoms of the cans collected on the premises and by friends of the Piedmontese artisan, disinfected and processed so that they do not have sharp parts and polished to restore the aluminum its characteristic brightness.To offer original solutions, Lanfranco uses the professional, non-toxic and durable powder painting technique (free of harmful solvents) to give the aluminum ideal colors to be combined with the colors of natural yarns of traceable origin.
