A wooden tower for telecommunications, Inwit's sustainable choice

The intervention, in line with the objectives of the 2021-2023 Sustainability Plan, allows the redevelopment of the adjacent territory of the Cave Park as an ecological corridor and the better environmental and landscape integration possible of the infrastructure.

“Ours wants to be a responsible and sustainable choice – declared the CEO of Inwit, Giovanni Ferigo -.With a view to an increasingly connected future, the towers will increase, to support telecommunications operators. We therefore have the task of thinking about alternative materials that can reduce environmental impacts throughout the life cycle of the infrastructure and that are increasingly harmonious with the landscape and urban decoration. We are convinced that laminated wood can represent an excellent choice in this direction, to create an increasingly connected, sustainable and circular environment."

The tower will guarantee the cellular network coverage of the area, also ensuring i emergency telephone services, of particular relevance for motorway traffic such as that of the nearby eastern ring road of Milan.
