Willeasy, the digital inclusion system for accessible holidays and events 

Willeasy is the first digital ecosystem that helps users with specific needs, from people with disabilities to those with pets, to find facilities that can best accommodate them.

Is called Willeasy and it's the first digital ecosystem inclusive Italian language which will allow people with specific needs (due to disabilities, advanced age, food allergies/intolerances, presence of animals, newborns and children, pregnant women, etc.) to find the events and the compatible structures with their needs.All in the name of sustainability, because Willeasy connects the environment with people and does so in a sustainable and direct way.

There startups, which has become part of the ecosystem of LifeGate Way, the group subsidiary with the aim of creating a network of sustainable startups with a focus on open innovation, was born from an idea of William Del Negro and aims to help 20 million people who in Italy have specific and particular needs.Any data?The 12 percent of the Italian population has over 75 years old and one in three families owns a dog or other four-legged companion that they often want to take with them on holiday.Beyond celiacs, vegetarians, vegans or disabled people who are forced to give up a holiday or experience just because they can't find the information they need.

 

Willeasy, an app at the service of those with special needs

Awarded at Friuli innovation technology park, in 2020 Willeasy received from Ministry of Labor and Social Policies the Unioncamere Top of the pid award.In fact, Del Negro's project combines innovation and social impact.

And also for this reason the Friulian startup has launched the first version of its accessibility search engine as well Willeasy Detect, the application for collecting objective data on places, structures and, soon, also on events.It will thus be possible to search for hotels, restaurants, museums, medical clinics, public offices, as well as car parks, ATMs, monuments, compatible with personal needs.Not only that.It will also be available to consult a detailed accessibility sheet relating to the place searched for.

“In this first phase we have made available the main functions which are the research and the visualization of the detailed accessibility sheet.In the coming months the site will be enriched with new features such as, for example, the possibility of booking a hotel or choosing to view only the information related to one's needs", says Del Negro, who also explains how an attempt is being made to involve entrepreneurs in the Willeasy ecosystem through an offer that rewards the first two thousand members.

But it will be the people who will contribute to the development of the project and above all to the collection of useful data and information users.“People have just returned from holidays:we would like to involve them in this particular period of the year to trigger a virtuous mechanism which, once started, will be unstoppable – continues Del Negro -.Our appeal is aimed at people with specific needs who have had positive and satisfying experiences both during the summer holidays and in everyday life.The action to be taken is to report the virtuous structures (hotels, restaurants, bars, farmhouses, shops) on our portal.It will then be Willeasy's task to contact these activities to collect the accessibility data, which will be published and made available to everyone".The goal of the startup is also to build a real one network of professional detectors thanks also to the support of the strategic partner Remove, which deals with consultancy, planning and training for the diffusion of inclusive thinking.Thus, in a world increasingly dominated by data, Willeasy makes information available to people effectively, especially when it is difficult to find.
