ROME – “The first Renewable Energy Community (Cer) of Moliterno is a concrete reality that allows us to produce and consume clean energy produced directly in the Moliterno area through renewable systems, such as solar panels and other sustainable technologies, with economic, social and environmental benefits for all".

It is with these words that he explains the new project Marisol Cestari, legal representative, manager of the Cestari Group, which operates through its own specialized companies in Italy and abroad, with an operational base in Moliterno, in the sector of electricity production from renewable sources, creating eco-compatible plants and evaluating the environmental and social impacts connected to the implementation of technologies powered by alternative sources of energy, committed to promoting Cers especially in the South.

The energy transition from oil to renewables in Val d'Agri, land of hydrocarbons, reaches a significant stage with the start of the activity of the first Renewable Energy Community (Cer) of Moliterno. It is a concrete reality that allows us to produce and consume clean energy, with economic, social and environmental benefits for everyone. The advantages that arise from joining the Cers are many, including saving on bills by sharing energy produced from renewable sources.

The Energy Community will improve the quality of the environment by reducing Co2 emissions, actively contributing to the fight against climate change and making our country more sustainable for future generations.Another central objective of the project is the valorization of local resources.Every euro saved and invested remains in the Moliterno area, strengthening the local economy and creating growth opportunities for businesses and citizens.

“Everyone can join the Cer:citizens, businesses and productive activities, local bodies and associations;schools, public bodies and associations can also be part of the Cer, helping to spread clean energy throughout the community", continues Marisol Cestari, and then highlights that the Cestari Group carries out support functions and free consultancy: “We provide ongoing support to help citizens and businesses understand how Cer can improve the energy balance and we assist them during all phases of the process. In the first nine months of the year, Basilicata - he reports - obtained good results in photovoltaic with 2,832 systems and a connected power of 56 MW and in wind with 10 systems and a connected power of 37 MW. It is confirmation that the development of renewables is the main path forward for the energy transition. We need, by making up for lost time due to too many accumulated delays, to increase the production of energy from renewable sources, mainly solar which is a resource of our territory for the needs of important public structures, public buildings and neighborhoods" concludes Marisol Cestari .
