Present at the march, the Swedish activist said:“You can't say you're fighting for climate justice if you ignore the suffering of marginalized peoples.”

“Silence is complicity, one cannot be neutral in the face of genocide.Even if the world tries to silence us we will return.None of us will be free until we are all free", these are the strong and decisive words pronounced by the climate activist Greta Thunberg at the procession organized by Fridays for future in Milan, Friday 11 October.“We live in a defined era of exploitation, violence, oppression, genocide, ecocide, famine, war, colonialism, increasing inequalities, a growing climate crisis. They are all interconnected crises, reinforcing each other and bringing unimaginable suffering. We cannot claim to be fighting for climate justice if we ignore the suffering of marginalized and colonized peoples,” Thunberg added. With the keffiyeh on my shoulders, the Swedish activist she joined the group of students who marched in demonstration and chanted slogans against exploitation and colonialism.

Greta Thunberg is an activist who founded the climate justice movement Fridays for Future.Born in 2018, the group is made up of people who organize demonstrations in which they demand political action to implement measures against climate change.Today's mobilization took place in around ten Italian cities and coincided with "No Meloni day", a day created by collectives and student groups to demonstrate against the government which recently approved the security bill which tightens penalties for non-violent demonstrations.
