Shadow puppets are quite easy to make and are a good way to entertain children and adults.This article teaches you how to make shadow puppets with paper for fun and to entertain your audience!

Steps

Make puppets.
- Draw the puppets you want on a piece of paper or card.
- One idea is to draw details, such as an eye, a smile or something similar on the puppets, then, when you have cut it out the detail will appear in the shadow.
- Cut out the puppet.
- Place a piece of tape on one end of a stick or straw.Leave some tape loose at the end of the stick.Secure the stick to your paper puppet, somewhere in the center back of the figure.Put some tape on the other side of the stick, so that it is secure.
- Draw the puppets you want on a piece of paper or card.

The curtain opens!
- Find an audience and some friends to act with you if necessary.
- Make sure you have good access to the screen, you may need to cut the sides of the cardboard, leaving just a few cm, so that it stands up on its own.
- Stand behind the sofa or table with the screen in front of you and the audience on the other side of the screen.
- Find a very strong light source to put behind you and the screen.
- Have all the figures ready and then turn off the lights.
- Start the show and have fun!

- Use a projector to create the flashing light if that's what you're looking for.
- Put on a holiday-themed show.Find a story online about something holiday-related, and make your own paper figures, write down what each character will say and do, and memorize it.Ask a friend or family member to help you if necessary.
- A good idea is to do a story about monsters for Halloween, a story about Santa Claus or the reindeer for Christmas and a story about the Easter bunny, eggs and chickens for Easter.
