Crocheting a circular rag rug is super easy! It's a great way to recycle old fabrics that you no longer use, for example broken, over-worn clothes or other fabrics that have become a little beat up.If you already know how to crochet a little, you will find this project very easy to do and, at the same time, rewarding.

Steps
-
Find some suitable cotton fabric to make the rug. Old t-shirts, tops, bed sheets, tablecloths, etc.- all of them can work, in addition to your fabric reserves, of course.
-
Wash all the fabric you want to use.
-
Cut the fabric into strips according to the size of your crochet hook. A width that might be fine is usually between 4 and 5 cm.
-
Sew the strips from one side to the other. Iron the seams if you want - it will look nicer.
-
Fold the edges of the strips inward.
-
Begin crocheting in the round as usual, chaining 6 stitches and using the dwarf stitch to convert it to a circle. Double stitch in 6 places and use a dwarf stitch to join the edges.Increases begin on the second round. To make an increase you make 2 double crochets in the same point.
-
Sew two double crochets in each double crochet around the circle on the second round.
-
Sew an increase in every other stitch on the third round (double crochet in one, double crochet in the next, etc.).As the rounds become larger, there will be more stitches between each increase.
-
Sew two double crochets between each increase in the fourth round.
-
Sew three double crochets between each increase on the fifth round.
-
Follow the pattern for each remaining round until your rug reaches the desired size.Advertising
Advice
- It's a good idea to choose easy-to-wash fabrics that don't lose color.Since it is a carpet, you will have to wash it every now and then to restore its original appearance, because it will get dirty easily.
