You will need to work chain stitches in multiples of three and then add a stitch to complete the chain stitch. For example, you could make a basic chain stitch made up of 19 (18+1) or 31 (30+1) chain stitches.
    • You will need to start your work by making a slip knot on the hook.See the "Tips" section for more details.
    • In the "Advice" section you will also find information on how to make a chain stitch.
  2. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Create a single crochet in the second stitch from the hook. Then single crochet in each stitch of the previous row until the end of it.
    • Turn your work over when you get to the end of the row.
    • For information on how to make a single crochet, go to the "Tips" section.
  3. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make them directly from the loop already on the hook.
    • This group of stitches will count both as a half double crochet and as an additional group of two chain stitches.
  4. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Skip the first stitch of the previous row, then wrap the yarn around the hook, insert it into the next stitch (the second stitch of the previous row) and grab it from the other side.Bring the thread back towards the front of the shirt.
    • Repeat this process two more times, each time moving to the next stitch in the previous row. When you're done you should have seven buttonholes on your hook.
    • From here the real triangular mesh begins.
  5. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Throw the yarn back onto the hook and pull it through all seven loops you previously gathered on the hook.
    • When you're done you should have just one buttonhole on your hook.
    • This will complete the actual triangular stitch.
  6. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make them directly from the loop already on the hook.
    • This will create a space between the individual triangular links.
  7. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Repeat the previous steps to create another one.
    • Yarn over the hook and insert it through the last stitch of the previous triangle stitch.
    • Take the thread with the hook from behind and push it back towards the front of the stitch.
    • Insert the hook into the next stitch.Repeat the operation with the next stitch.
    • Once you have gathered the seven loops, throw the yarn onto the hook and push it through the seven loops.
    • This will complete your second triangular stitch.
  8. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make two chains, make another triangular stitch following the previous steps.Repeat the process until the end of the row.
  9. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make a chain stitch and then a half double crochet in the last single crochet of the previous row.
    • At the end of the row, turn your work over.
    • You can find all the information on the half double crochet in the "Advice" section.
  10. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work a chain stitch starting from the loop on the hook, to proceed to the next row.
  11. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
The place of the individual stitches will change depending on their position in the row.
    • Work a single crochet into the first stitch.
    • Make a single crochet in the next space of chain number one in the previous row.
    • Make 2 single crochets in the next space of the chain number two of the previous row.
    • Make a single crochet in the next loop of the curved chain stitch from the previous row.
    • Turn the work when you have finished this row.
  12. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
At this point you should end up with:your foundation chain, the preparatory row, the first real row of triangle stitches and the second row in the middle.Repeat the steps of the row of triangular stitches and the row "in the middle" alternating them, until you reach the length you want.
    • Cut the thread.Pull through the loop on the hook and knot the thread as tight as you can.Weave the excess tail at the back of the work, to prevent it from showing.

    • You should end up with 12 stitches in this row.
    • For information on single crochet, go to the "Advice" section.
  3. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Decrease one single crochet along the next two stitches in the previous row.Single crochet in each of the next 8 stitches, then decrease another single crochet in the final two stitches of the row.
    • You should end up with 10 stitches in this row.
    • For information on how to decrease a single stitch, go to the "Tips" section.
  4. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
For the next row, simply single crochet into each stitch from the previous row.
    • You should end up with 10 stitches in this row.
  5. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Decrease one single crochet along the next two stitches in the third row.Single crochet in each of the next 6 stitches, then decrease another single crochet at the final two points of the row.
    • You should end up with 8 stitches at the end of this row.
  6. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
A single crochet in each of the stitches of the fourth row, to then complete the fifth.
    • This row should also have 8 stitches, like the previous one.
  7. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Continue making rows with a decrease of two single crochets, separated by rows of single crochets only.Repeat seven more times, until you reach the twelfth row.
    • The sixth row should have 6 stitches (one single crochet decrease, four single crochets and another single crochet decrease).
    • The seventh row should have 6 stitches (all single crochets).
    • The eighth row should have 4 stitches (one single crochet decrease, two single crochets and another single crochet decrease).
    • The ninth row, 4 stitches (all four single crochets).
    • The 10th row should have 2 stitches (one single crochet decrease, one single crochet and another single crochet decrease).
    • The 11th row should have 2 stitches (both single crochets).
    • The twelfth should have one stitch (a single stitch decrease).
  8. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
At this point, the triangle is finished. To round the edges, make a single crochet in each stitch around the sides of the piece, and three single crochets in each space.
    • Tie the thread.Cut, leaving a tail of about 5 cm.Pull through the loop on the hook and tighten the thread to knot the triangle.Weave the excess tail at the back of the work, to prevent it from showing.

  1. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Four chain stitches starting from the slip knot on your hook.Make a slip stitch by joining the first and last stitches to form a circle.
    • If you don't know how to create a slip knot, chain stitch and/or slip stitch, see the "Tips" section of this article.
  2. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make them directly from the loop already on the hook.
    • These 6 stitches count as the first double crochet and as the first corner of your first round of triangles.
  3. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work them into the center of your circle.Chain 3 to separate this group from the next.
    • For information on the high top, see the "Advice" section of the article.
  4. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work 3 double crochets again in the center of the circle then make 3 chain stitches on the last double crochet of the group.
  5. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Make 2 more double crochets in the center of the circle.Make a slip stitch between the buttonhole of the second double crochet and the third chain stitch of the series of 6, which you made to get to this step.
    • This will complete the first round of triangles. You can stop here, or you can work additional rounds to enlarge your work.
  6. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work six chain stitches from the loop on the hook.
    • As before, these chains will act as the first double crochet and first corner of the round.
  7. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work them in the first space of chain number three, of the previous round.Chain to separate this group from the next.
  8. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
In the space of the corner to come, make 3 double crochets, 3 chain stitches and 3 more double crochets.Finish this double group by making a chain.
  9. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
You will need to repeat the previous step in the next corner space.Once you return to the first corner space, make 2 double crochets. With a slip stitch join the last double stitch to the third chain stitch of the series of 6 on this round.
  10. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Work 6 chain stitches starting from the loop on the hook.
    • These chains will act as the first double crochet and first corner of the third round.
  11. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
Just use the previous steps to complete it, the only difference is that you will have both spaces between the chains and spaces in the corners.
    • Make 3 double crochets and a chain stitch in the space of the first corner.
    • In each corner space make 3 double crochets, 3 chain stitches and 3 more double crochets.Make a chain at the end of the group.
    • In all non-corner spaces, make 3 double crochets and a chain stitch.
    • When you get to the first corner space of this round, make 2 double crochets in the space.Join this group with a slip stitch to the third chain of the series of six.
  12. Watermark wikiHow to Fare un Triangolo all'Uncinetto
The triangle is ready, but if you want to make it bigger, you just have to follow the desired steps until you get the size you prefer.Make sure the final stitch is a slip stitch.
    • Tie the thread.Cut, leaving a tail of about 2-3 cm.Pull it through the loop on the hook and tighten the thread tightly, to knot the triangle. You can weave the excess yarn into the back of the triangle, to hide it.
