Steps

1
-
2Cut two rectangles of wool using these measurements. The two rectangles can be any color (or colors) of your choice.
-
3Sew each rectangle into a tube by sewing the narrow ends together.
-
4# Sew the tubes together on one side. Place one seam facing "out" and the other facing "in" so that the smooth sides (where you can't see the seam) are facing each other. Then pin and sew the ends together.
-
5Turn the tubes inside out so that the seams are now hidden from view and the newly made seam forms the end of the material.
-
6Make a fold between 1/2 and 3/4" (1.25 - 2 cm) away from the previous seam, forming a channel (tube to thread the lace through).
-
7Turn/roll the remaining "raw" or unsewn edges ½ inch (1.25 cm) inward and pin.
-
8Hem the stapled edges together.
-
9Make an additional seam two inches from the bottom edge.
-
10Open the channel seam.
-
11Thread a (new) shoelace through it. You can use a safety pin or ribbon loop to help you.
-
12Pass both ends of the lace through the rope stopper.
-
13Knot them securely together.
-
14
-
15Loosen the string and fold to form an ear flap.
-
16Loosen the strings and pass it over your head onto your neck for a comfortable neck warmer.Advertising
