Steps
-
Cast on stitches based on your preferences and the width of the piece. You must use an odd number of stitches to successfully make a moss stitch.
-
Work row 1 like this: Point 1, Purl 1.Be careful as you move the ball of thread from the front of your work to the back and vice versa for each stitch.Continue until you have one stitch remaining on the left side.Work the last stitch.
-
Work row 2 like row 1.
-
Work row 3 like this: Purl 1, Point 1.Continue until you have one stitch remaining on the left.Reverse the last point.
-
Work row 4 like row 3.
-
Since this pattern alternates, it's easy to find your way around the row by counting backwards or looking at the last stitches made.
-
Continue until you reach the end of the garment and cast off the stitches.
-
Enjoy the garment!Advertising
