Steps
-
Take the dimensions of your poster with a tape or ruler.
-
Decide whether to apply a frame of the same size or whether to take it 1 or 2 centimeters larger. The extra space at the bottom can be occupied by a decorative element, which also protects the corners of the poster.
-
Purchase an appropriate frame. Try to get one made of high-quality plexiglass, more than 0.31 cm thick.Choose plexiglass over glass, which could break or allow moisture to seep into the frame, damaging the poster.Low quality plexiglass may cause the poster to yellow over time.
-
Buy some poster supports to apply to the frame, make sure you check that they do not contain acids. Some frames are sold in kits already including support inside the frame.
-
Unscrew the hinges on the back of the frame. Insert media if necessary.
-
Slide the poster into the frame to check if it fits. Adjust the position of the poster within the frame if necessary.
-
Clean the plexiglass and let it dry before closing the zips. Hang the poster.
-
Go to a professional framer if you don't want to do it yourself.Advertising
