Bad weather.Unstable weather in Veneto:scattered thunderstorms possible

Civil Protection does not rule out hailstorms, strong winds and landslides.Critical issues until Saturday morning

VENICE – The Civil Protection of Veneto has issued a new notice that it provides from the central hours of today until the early hours of Saturday, a phase of instability with scattered showers and thunderstorms or at times spread over mountain and foothill areas, less probable and more localized on the rest of the plain;they will be possible intense phenomena (heavy showers, local hailstorms, strong gusts of wind).

Furthermore, it is possible a trigger of superficial landslides and flows rapids in the mountain, foothill and hilly sectors of the alert areas;possible raising the levels of the secondary hydrographic network, regurgitation of rainwater disposal systems with flooding of underground rooms or underpasses.For the Vene-A, Vene-H, Vene-B, Vene-C zones the scenario will be characterized by intense phenomena and rapidly evolving.

In the areas in yellow hydraulic alert, rise in the levels of the main watercourses, with the probable exceeding of the first hydrometric threshold generally contained within the riverbed.There hydrogeological criticality for thunderstorms is valid until 8am on 13 July.There hydraulic criticality in the Vene-C alert zone it is related to the hydrometric levels sustained along the rod of the Adige river.The warning is valid from 2pm today to 2pm on Saturday 13 July 2024.
