On the island 8 minutes of explosions and seismic tremor.No person involved, reassures the Civil Protection

PALERMO – New eruption of Stromboli volcano, in the Aeolian Islands, followed by the rise of a cloud of smoke and ash kilometers high and a flow of lava that traveled to Sciara del Fuoco to end its journey into the sea.

The paroxysm (or eruption) occurred at the highest craters.The activity produced a eruptive column and a lava flow along the Sciara del Fuoco, reaching the sea.Here the flow spread for tens of meters from the coastline.
From a seismic point of view, all the Stromboli stations recorded a "seismic transient - they explain from'Engv – associated with a sequence of explosive events for a total duration of approximately 8 minutes." The average amplitude ofthe tremor "reached a very high level at the paroxysmal event", followed by a rapid decrease until it currently reaches "the average level".

 It was about ten difficult minutes for the islanders in which they witnessed explosions and a temporary "seismic tremor".The Department of Civil Protection, present on the island in the crisis unit, reassures that there are no people involved.
