ROME – It met today, in Rome, the Anbi National Assembly dedicated to the post-PNRR theme.Among the interventions, those of general director of Anbi Massimo Gargano, of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, and the Councilor for Public Works of the Municipality of Rome Ornella Segnalini.

Salvini:In the water strategic plan 418 projects "OK with first 73 in July"

“What I'm trying to do on the issue of water is plan in the medium and long term to avoid chasing the perennial emergency. With the collaboration of the reclamation consortia we are creating for the first time a strategic plan for medium and long-term water management. There are 418 projects for a total of 13 billion and the first installment for the first 73 projects, by July, for almost a billion in investments, an account that can be financed".Thus the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini.

Gargano (ANBI):Identity theft synthetic food consuming water

“Synthetic food is a great identity theft that is done to all agriculture but to the Italian one in particular. For us in the water sector it also means an activity that presents not only all the various unethicalities but also a large consumption of water".Thus Massimo Gargano, General Manager of Anbi.

We don't like EU against invaders

“Europe cannot be that of ecological runoff. There are many things we don't like, including the outright rejection of disposal tanks and reservoirs for containing water. And then the regulation on environmental crimes which provides for new cases such as having a concession to withdraw water and going over the limit by nothing. One thing that says a lot about this matter on which we must make a serious reflection", continues Gargano.

The most important work in the country is maintenance

“Maintenance. This is the greatest public work that Italy needs and the extraordinary work of this country."Concludes Massimo Gargano, General Manager of Anbi, during the work of the national assembly of the same Anbi which was held in Rome.

Markers:With new Peschiera, Rome has a secure supply

“We are providing the Capital with a safe water supply, starting from its main aqueduct, the Peschiera, which crosses territories at seismic risk and in some parts is still built with a single pipe.Over 2 billion euros are invested in the water sector in the capital.Around 45 million allocated to flood risk as for Madonnetta, for which we are proceeding with the design and then entrusting the works to the reclamation Consortium.Over 1.5 billion euros are aimed at reducing losses in water networks and supplying the city safely, creating the largest European work in this sector, the Peschiera aqueduct, worth 1.350 billion".This is one of the passages of the speech given by the Councilor for Public Works of the Municipality of Rome, Ornella Segnalini, on the occasion of the national assembly of the Anbi.

“The remaining resources - added Segnalini - are those Pnrr which were acquired, 50 million euros, to reduce losses, and the other 150 million, for a secure supply even in the face of climatic fluctuations. Finally, another 500 million euros are intended, both through investments from the tariff of the Acea Ato 2 investment plan and through 16.5 million euros of municipal budget funds, to create water and sewerage systems in the peripheral areas of Rome which are still without them (Fosso dell'Osa, Tragliatella, Cava Pace, Fosso San Giuliano, Giustiniana), to maintain networks built several decades ago, to build new purifiers, to constantly intervene with scheduled maintenance on a reasoned selection and at greater risk of the 330,000 drains present on the municipal roads.Suffice it to say that for the water and sewerage sector alone, Acea's annual per capita investments reached 107.4 euros per inhabitant, higher than the European average of 100 euros, and far higher than the Italian average of 48 euros".

Reduced Rome network water losses from 47% to 28.7%

“For Rome, the Pnrr was not only a financial instrument, but the instrument through which this city, through its subsidiary Acea, improved its performance in terms of network losses and took part in the most important water project of Europe, i.e. the doubling and making safe of the Peschiera aqueduct.Losses went from 47% in 2017 to 28.7% last year and are expected to reach 25%, on average with Europe."This is one of the most important passages of the speech held by the Councilor for Public Works of the Municipality of Rome, Ornella Segnalini, on the occasion of the national assembly of the Anbi.
