Between Bologna and Modena comes the 'Via del Sacro e del Profano', which crosses plains, hills, green oases and urban routes.And the entire 385 kilometer route can be done on horseback and with dogs

BOLOGNA – On foot and by bicycle, but why not also on horseback or with dogs.Bologna's excursion network is expanding again, this time also looking at pets, with a new 385 kilometer route which connects the Emilian capital and Modena in a ring.The route, which will be activated during this year, crosses and connects all the paths already active:from the Via degli Dei to EuroVelo7, from the Bregoli to the Piccola Cassia, from the Via della Lana e della Seta to the Romea Nonantolana.

Is called the 'Way of the Sacred and the Profane' and it is a "spiritual and food and wine itinerary", designed to cross plains, hills, green oases and urban routes “rich in history, traditions, culture, mysticism and food and wine delicacies”.The peculiarity is that, in fact, the entire route can be done on horseback (bridle path) and with dogs (cinovia).For this reason the Simbiosi association, which promoted the journey, decided to also involve the Order of Veterinarians of Bologna and Modena, to provide a list of professionals available for any emergencies.
