PALERMO – A gradual increase in Strombolian activity and emission of ash which disperses towards the south. This is what was recorded by the INGV experts on Etna.Last night the volcano made itself felt again:in particular the Voragine crater.“The average amplitude of the volcanic tremor, following a gradual increase, has currently reached the high level, with an increasing trend – they explain from the Etna Observatory -.The centroid of the sources of the volcanic tremor is located just east of the Voragine crater at an elevation of approximately 2,800 meters above sea level."Infrasonic activity is high and the sources of the events are located in the Voragine crater.Due to the lava material accumulated by the latest eruptions, the Voragine crater has become the new peak of Etna, reaching a height of 3,369 metres.
