Monday 27 May starting at 6pm, the Vignale Residence (via Enrico Toti, 2 – Milan) will host the “Journey in Italy” event, dedicated to the taste of sustainable well-being through a dialogue between the Mediterranean diet and African cuisine with three testimonials exceptional: the starred Chef Heinz Beck, Chef Fatmata Binta and the master ice cream maker Luca Rizzardini.

Thanks to five thematic islands, dedicated to five icons wine, coffee, bread, pasta and ice cream, each participant will be able to better discover their senses and the five emotions of emotional intelligence:happiness, dream, sharing, balance, empathy.It will do so thanks to the suggestions offered by exceptional speakers and the proposals of the Chef Heinz Beck, 3* Michelin of the La Pergola restaurant in Rome, considered one of the best chefs in the world, with a culinary approach that respects the raw materials and the health of his guests.

The Wine icon will present itself at Journey in Italy through three tastings curated by Alessandro Rossi, National category manager wine of Partesa, wine connoisseur, communicator and author of numerous sector publications.

The master ice cream maker will also be the co-protagonist Luca Rizzardini, descendant of a family of ice cream makers who have been working since 1891, which deals with the valorisation of herbs and plants, from woodruff to rhododendron and rhubarb.Rizzardini will be joined by Alessandro Croce, Master ice cream maker.

He will be the guest of honor Chef Fatmata Binta, African representative of the Fulani ethnic group and FAO and UNWTO Ambassador, who had the merit of bringing her culture closer to a tradition that was only apparently so different, also making known the "cereal of the future", the Fonio.Common denominator will be the dialogue between Mediterranean diet and African cuisine, where two cultures with two different food pyramids will meet and talk about each other.At the same time, the "immersive experiences”, seven-minute meetings that will offer suggestions on each of the protagonist products.There will be a creative version of the classic "Cacio e pepe" recipe, a legacy of the successful Cacio e pepe day event, held from 2021 to today.

Thanks to the contribution of Professor Carlo Di Cristo, biologist, researcher, leavening and fermentation scientist, the issues of waste free, circular economy and environmental sustainability will be touched upon with the dough and the "Pane cafone" experience, an ancient form of bread tradition, whose preparation is typical of the culinary tradition of Naples.

Live music by DIA, The voice of Italian soul, an Italian-Canadian singer, will accompany the event.

Journey In Italy 2024 is dedicated to the memory of the great entrepreneur and designer from the 1930s, Vittorio Dessi.
