THE NUMBERS OF THE PRECIOUS 'MUSHROOM'

An event with a unique flavour, that of the famous Tuber Magnatum Pico, and large numbers for a territory that has been able to distinguish itself in the world as an economic district of the precious 'mushroom'.They are counted two hundred and fifty cultivated truffle fields (of black truffles and about ten controlled experimental truffle fields of prized white), twelve specific sales points of truffle and ten companies who transform it and market it all over the world.Acqualagna is a true truffle deposit:holds the Italian record in sales of the truffle, a fundamental heritage of the economy and gastronomic culture of the area.

THE LAND OF 4 TRUFFLES, THE MAYOR LISI:AN EXCELLENCE

Here they are concentrated two/thirds of national production, destined for different places in the world.Four varieties grow in the area, one for each season:The White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico from the last Sunday of September to December 31st), the Black Truffle Valuable (Tuber Melanosporum Vitt from 1 December to 15 March), the Bianchetto Truffle (Tuber Borchii Vitt from January 15th to April 15th), the Black Summer Truffle (Tuber Aestivum Vitt from 1 June to 31 August and from 1 October to 31 December).The mayor of Acqualagna, Luca Lisi, during the presentation of the Kermesse in Rome, he explains:“We have a Fair of excellence, which has grown over the years and which has brought Acqualagna to an international level, with a unique product.Acqualagna also lives from this, with a lively and thriving trade that accounts for approximately 2/3 of the national production.This year they will be there surprises and great guests“.

THE EVENT BETWEEN COOKING SHOWS AND TASTINGS

The 58th National White Truffle Fair of Acqualagna will stage more than fifty events including cooking shows, presentations, meetings, talk shows, awards, shows, concerts, workshops for families and children, truffle hunting and guided tours. The internal areas cultivated with truffles and suitable for research are more dynamic and populous.Therefore the truffle has not only an economic but above all a social value."
